Day 2 Home - Snoqualmie Pass

EASTWARD BOUND - OVER THE CASCADES

Left home at 7:15, arrived Snoqualmie Pass 5 PM.  Three friends from the Ancient Mariners joined in, Max and Oliver rode to Issaquah, George to the Pass.  Paul Templeton, Harvard rowing friend, and John Carpenter (neighbor), also both rode to the Pass.

Great ride, glorious day.  Hot but not too bad as we were mostly in the shade.  Morning ride on Lake to Lake Trail, Issaquah, Preston, Fall City, Snoqualmie and lunch at the Dairy Freeze in North Bend.  Afternoon,  Iron Horse trail, Snoqualmie Tunnel and the Pass.  PM all gravel, 2% grade for about 30 miles.  After awhile the grade and the gravel are wearing but we made it.

Best part of the day - Nancy.  She drove to the Pass as did Ellen and Emily and we all had beers and pizza.  A great way to end the day.

By the numbers:
Dist - 72.4 miles
Elevation gain - 4,729 ft
Elev Loss - 1,987 ft
Moving time - 6:50
